Move to NCFE

The awarding body Ascentis are no longer able to register students or accredit courses above Level 3. This is with immediate effect. ATHE therefore are in the processs of moving courses to NCFE and become an NCFE Investing in Quality Centre. This move will take a few weeks but will result in a better service. ATHE also uses EDI as an awarding body.

Postgraduate Examinations

As from June all ATHE Postgraduate courses will be assessed by means of an examination plus a Research Project. There will be two examinations held on same day. One of 3 hours for Mandatory Units and another of 2 hours for Optional Units. Each centre will appoint an Examinations Officer who will be responsible for distributing papers just before examinations, then collecting and despatching to ATHE for marking. The Research Project should also be despatched around this time. Research Project will be marked at centre and then sent to ATHE for external moderating. Exams will be held 4 times a year, dates to be announced. Marks will be 70% for exam and 30% for Project.

These changes are required to maintain standards in particular as our Postgraduate courses are articulated to University MBA's.

New Athe Logo

Since 2006 we have had the blue and orange globe as our logo.
It has served us well and become widely known across the world.

Since then however our vision has changed and we are
no longer focusing on Tourism and Geography.

We now have an array of different subjects and many more
academic specialists involved allowing us to break our
own limits and leave our own boundaries behind.

The logo will remain active across the world and will still
be part of the Athe brand so don't be surprised
to see it around for a year or two yet.
